Ohhh this is a good one.... read all the way for sure

So I am driving to the dry cleaners to pick up the dress and my suit, cause you know I am getting married soon, like 9 days soon, then I get a phone call from a 947-777-8544 number. I don't typically answer unknown numbers...
But I was in contact with Amazon this morning so I thought this was the call back. Anyway I answer and ask who is this and the guy on the other end says this is Andrew Goldburg with @pchdotcom and you just won $5 million, $7000 a week for life, and a new car.....
I am like oh sweet, not knowing that was the actual name of the CEO of the company, "Andrew" then proceeds to explain all the congratulatory stuff says there is a team on the way to my residence, I asked "and what might that address be?" "Before we verify information..."
Right flag number 2 that this was a scam, first flag was all the bg noise that I was hearing, anyway I don't have much going on today so I can waste a scammers time why not, I let him keep going. He says a team is on the way and they are coming from the Indy office....
And should be at my house in about 2 hours and that "Andrew" himself will be there, along with 4 other vehicles to deliver a $4 million check and the $5,000 for life (I thought it was 5M and 7k ehh what's a mill when you have 5k weekly 🤣🤣)... flag 3
Side note throughout the conversation the bg noise I am hearing are ranging from dishes clanging, a microwave door open, a cell phone text alert, a television, and what sounded like a child or it could have been the tv either way this is totally legit for sure 100 percent 😂...
For reference Indy is about 3 hours away from me soo again another flag... how is "Andrew" going to finish our conversation, clean up his kitchen, probably put pants on, and make it to my house in 2 hours?!?
This is were the tell all of the scam happens. Of course during all this I am fact checking, making sure he isn't asking for secure information. (In case you didn't know your name and address aren't considered secure info. Ever heard of a phone book? 🤷‍♂️)
Some of the facts I check, @pchdotcom CEO, name checks out, how they contact winners, fun fact it is NEVER by phone, either certified mail, for smaller prizes, or they just show up, bigger prizes, Pictures from PCH's website and a general Google search shows those things....
The entire time I know this is a scam but hey I am currently without a job and have nothing going on today so why not channel some of my inner @Kitboga, and string along a scammer to waste his time. Sounds like a plan to me! Where was I....
Right so he is explaining how the winnings will be given and who will show up mentions an address in Jericho, NY with a zip code of 11521, which I search and doesn't pull up the same zip. I tell him that I searched that zip and didn't find that address. He gives me another zip...
And the same thing happens. By the way have I mentioned that this is a scam yet in this thread? He even gives me a bogus Indiana number during this time too. So you can hear that he is flustered for sure cause I am just stringing him along....
Multiple times he says have trust in PCH and what we do we will be there in an hour and a half with your earnings, h/o didn't you just say 2 hours 5 minutes ago? 🤔 major Sus. So I ask "do you know how far it is from Indy to my location? It is definitely longer"...
His reply "we haven't put the address in the GPS yet but we will most certainly be there in an hour or so" dang these dudes have time travel now nice! By now it has been about 20 minutes and I am sure the lady inside the dry cleaners is wonder what I am doing...
Then the ultimate red flag of any "you won" thing. "Sir are you close to a @cvspharmacy?" Fun fact my dry cleaners is across the street from one. I go ya of course. "Okay I need you to go in and buy a maniler(vanilla maybe?) Card" oh geez yes the moment I have been waiting for..
My money and car will be here as soon as I buy a gift card for this dude puuuuuurrrrrfect. "You need to put $475 on it to cover the taxes of the prize" right cause 25% of 4M is def only 475. Sounds legit. So I decide to finally start calling him out now...
I say "umm yea a maniller one card got it" "what else is on the card mr. Stone what does is say" "ummm it says maniller one like you said" "are you even at CVS, can you swear on your life you are there" "wow pretty aggressive language there 'Andrew' yes I can see the sign now"..
"Oh you aren't inside yet go inside and get the card do you even want this money?" "I mean ya but why do I have to pay money to get money here doesn't seem to make much sense....
"Also to use language you have already used can you swear to me on your life you are Andrew Goldburg?" "Yes I am him" "Another thing why did you give me a NY address with a wrong zip code and are saying you are an hour away in Indy, Indi...." CLICK
😅🤣🤣🤣🤣😅😅🤣 Got the dude so flustered he hung up. Well worth the 27 ish minutes of my early afternoon. Be cautious friendos always do your research if you suspect fraud or a scam. Oh and it never hurts to have a little fun as well. Hahah
