I have many updates to share after talking to Senate Liaison Ken Bennett. Here we go ...

First update, he says they are approaching 210,000 ballots counted. #azauditpool

John Brakey said that there is an independent journalist named Steve Rosenfeld on the audit floor. Bennett confirmed that.

Asked why they had different access then the rest of the journalists, Bennett said I got to go on the floor... I pointed out that others ...

hadn't had the chance. "We allowed him to go on the floor for a few hours like we allowed other people to do in the beginning."

No other response.

Asked whether @BarnettforAZ or others have insider information about the results of the audit, including fraud that has already been found, Senate Liaison Ken Bennett said "No, that's all baloney."

Asked what he wasn't able to do to evaluate the voting machines because they are missing certain passwords, he said they would not be able to gain administrative access that they believe that would allow them to run batch reports on ballots.

On batch reports...

Batch reports a way that the auditors could break down the ballots by groups as they count, to compare to the county's count.

Without them, they can only compare the final totals.

Senate Liaison Ken Bennett said the Senate is considering filing a motion to compel/other subpoenas to Maricopa County to try to get the password/keys they did not receive, so they could gain administrative access.

Bennett responded to the two concerns from DOJ letter:

1. On lack of ballot security, "That is completely unfounded." There has been 24/7 security and video surveillance, the building is secure.

"Nobody is in the building that shouldn't be in the building."

2. On potential voter intimidation, he said "If I have anything to do with it, there won't be any voter intimidation."

I asked if he would have something to do with it. "I hope so." Not going door to door, but he find out what plan is. "I haven't seen that part of the audit."

I asked Bennett several questions about the voter registration and votes cast part of this audit - the "canvassing" and verifying votes were illegal.

Is there a detailed plan? "You need to ask them." (I have, no response)

Who will have access to private voter data?

He said it would be whoever Cyber Ninja chooses to do that part of the audit. Asked how the Senate would make sure that voter data is secure, he said, "I have talked with the people that have that data."

He did not elaborate.

Bennett said that contractor CyFIR has all of the data downloaded off the county's voting machines, and he has two thumb drives from the county with other information, but he doesn't know what is on them.

"I don't think there is voter registration files on the data I received."

I asked how people will be reassured by these answers.

"Only contractors that need to perform a certain function for the senate" will have access to voter data, he said.

Has the work on voter registration part of this begun?
"I have no knowledge that it has started," he said.

I asked Bennett who could tell me whether that work has begun. He said Doug Logan with Cyber Ninjas would be the only one, but "he is not supposed to talk to you."
