Earlier this week my most recent Substack writeup went out on @DesktopMetal (ticker: $DM)

You can access it at http://jonahlupton.substack.com

I'm extremely bullish on $DM and additive manufacturing but this is a longer term story that needs time to play out.
$DM has an elite management team...
$DM has an elite Board of Directors with some of the top VC investors plus strategic investors like Ford, BMW, and Koch Industries
$DM has gotten their new machines to a point where they are 100x faster than legacy 3D printers and now additive manufacturing is cheaper than traditional manufacturing methods
$DM business model includes the machines, software and the materials
$DM client list is impressive...
Many experts, including @ARKInvest believe that additive manufacturing will be a $146 billion industry by the end of this decade. I've seen estimates as high as $180 billion by 2030.
$DM has a diversified product portfolio helped by the recent acquisition of EnvisionTEC https://envisiontec.com/desktop-metal-completes-acquisition-of-envisiontec/
$DM received a $275M PIPE as part of the SPAC deal from Cathy Woods, Chamath, Bill Miller, Ron Baron and several others. These are arguably 4 of the best investors over the past decade who clearly believe that 3D printing is the future.
I'll be interviewing @RicFulop, Founder & CEO of $DM in the next couple weeks after the company reports Q1 earnings. We're planning to do this interview at the @DesktopMetal headquarters in Burlington, MA.

Disclosure: I have a position in $DM
