As the name suggests $DM does 3D printing (aka additive manufacturing) for metals, composites, polymers and now wood.
This morning $DM announced the addition of wood for end-use products which is pretty amazing: https://ir.desktopmetal.com/news/press-releases/detail/53/desktop-metal-develops-new-additive-manufacturing-process">https://ir.desktopmetal.com/news/pres...

$DM has an elite management team...
$DM has an elite Board of Directors with some of the top VC investors plus strategic investors like Ford, BMW, and Koch Industries
$DM has gotten their new machines to a point where they are 100x faster than legacy 3D printers and now additive manufacturing is cheaper than traditional manufacturing methods
$DM business model includes the machines, software and the materials
$DM client list is impressive...
Many experts, including @ARKInvest believe that additive manufacturing will be a $146 billion industry by the end of this decade. I& #39;ve seen estimates as high as $180 billion by 2030.
$DM has a diversified product portfolio helped by the recent acquisition of EnvisionTEC https://envisiontec.com/desktop-metal-completes-acquisition-of-envisiontec/">https://envisiontec.com/desktop-m...
$DM received a $275M PIPE as part of the SPAC deal from Cathy Woods, Chamath, Bill Miller, Ron Baron and several others. These are arguably 4 of the best investors over the past decade who clearly believe that 3D printing is the future.
