I do think if Ireland raised the legal drinking age, the govt. might be more inclined/pressured to invest in communities and create accessible hiking trails, athletic centers, parks, and other age-appropriate facilities.
In the middle of butt-f*ck Delaware, I can tour 3/4 gilded era mansions and grounds, go hiking through rolling hills and forest, tube down the Brandywine river, go ice-skating, rock climbing, play hockey, play tennis, play football, go swimming, go kayaking, go to the mall etc.
And I would say Delaware is under-funded to be honest.
There are too many cute towns in Ireland where you can only have fun if you're in a pub or if it's an exceptionally warm day. And all facilities are only used by GAA.
The Tuatha De Danann would all be alcoholics with smoky lungs.
Also maybe Ireland would have more Olympians if citizens had the actual opportunity to try out different sports, regardless of where in the country they live.
Also the GAA does not pay it's players and that is a crime to me. End of thread.
