Is there a senior citizen award for money Twitter?

Here’s the best lessons I’ve learned from my time here👇

#3years
1/ Day trading is one of the worst things you can do.

Predicting day to day direction is extremely tough and requires massive amounts of time.
2/ Track your spending.

Even if it’s only for a couple months.

Use the mint app the see where your money is going.
3/ Pay yourself first.

Want to grow your investments?

The first deposit you make after getting paid should go to your brokerage.

Shoot for investing 10%-20% of every pay check and build up from there.
4/ ETFs and Index Funds are amazing.

These require minimal time to research, but still provide great exposure to the market.

No matter what you want to invest into there is an ETF for that.
5/ Avoid the “cool new thing.”

Especially here on Twitter it seems there is something new every couple weeks.

Peoples attention changes,

Your investment thesis should not.
6/ Build relationships.

With the blow up of money Twitter there are so many great people on here.

Connecting and learning from like minded people is the beauty of it.
7/ Share your experiences.

If you really want to learn put yourself out there.

Believe it or not, some of the best advice I’ve ever received has been from Twitter.
8/ Remember it’s social media.

Most interactions will be great.

But just like any other social media, you will likely receive some criticism or terrible advice.

It’s never worth fighting a keyboard warrior.

Use the block button.
9/ Unfortunately the growth has brought some negative aspects.

In 3 years I’ve seen a lot of “money” accounts just disappear.

Truth is, some are here just to make a quick buck.

Thankfully, this is a very small percentage.
10/ High quality people.

With that said here is a starting list of great accounts.
