Okay! It's #WorldPasswordDay2021! Time for my periodic advice on passwords and what the heck to do about them. It's
time.

1. Get a password manager. Pay the money for @1Password, you will never ever regret it. If you do, come find me, and we'll talk about it.
2. Use a unique password for every service you sign into. Every. Service. Unique. Password.
Every.
Service.
Unique.
Password.
Every.

Unique.
Password.
3. Where you can, turn on Multi-factor authentication. If you can use an app like Authy (or embed your MFA in 1Password!) do it. If they only offer text messages, that's less bad, but it's still better than NOT having MFA.
4. Don't share your passwords to your stuff, ever. Not even Netflix. Passwords are like bank statements. Don't share them.
5. Have a PAPER backup for your Master Password. PAPER. Not on a computer. Put it where you put you put your important documents (birth certificate, marriage license, passport, social security card)
6. Make your master password a passPHRASE instead. Like a song lyric? That's it. Have a personal mantra? That's it. Use something good there.
That's it. Take today and make your online life better, okay? You deserve good security. You're worth it. Future you will thank you. <3 #fin
