The Government needs to address the critical situation of violence, disappearance, and murder of Nigerian women and girls across .

Violence against women and girls is systemic and a national crisis that requires urgent, informed and collaborative action.

Nigeria (correct me if I am wrong) has no public data on #MissingAndMurderedNigerianWomen. The MMNW cases are underrepresented, yet still demonstrates a complex and pervasive pattern of violence against women and girls who are often targeted by serial kidnappers and murderers.

I am asking the Nigerian Government @NGRSenate @NGRPresident and the NPF @PoliceNG @PoliceNG_CRU to conduct an Operational Investigation and Overview that will publicly show records of all incidents of Nigerian Missing and Murdered Women. 

Nigerian girls & women deserve safety.

Here are some of the reported cases I compiled and there are others unreported, oversimplified and underrepresented because of the lack of thorough reporting on #MissingAndMurderedNigerianWomen cases across Nigeria.

Nigerian women & girls deserve safety.

I am calling in the Government to please look into the cases of #MissingAndMurderedNigerianWomen. We need to focus on the importance of a national inquiry on MMNW, with federal, state and local governments committing to participation and full cooperation in the process.

There is an urgent need to continue with coordinated collaboration & actions to prevent & address violence against Nigerian women and girls during the National Inquiry on MMNW (I hope this becomes a yearly national inquiry) including a Public Holiday to honour our murdered women.

The Nigerian Government & NPF need to show commitment & collaboration with women across the nation on the MMNW issues including a proposed coordination of efforts on community outreach, monitoring progress, and identifying priorities for action.

Government needs to create and implement a set of common performance measures to assess progress toward addressing and reducing the socio-economic gaps experienced by girls & women.
Implement a nationwide awareness campaign focused on ending the violence against women and girls.
