Bakari Sellers, one of the lawyers for Brown's family, told CPP last week that Brown owned three Ring cameras. There was the doorbell camera, a camera over the front door and a camera pointing to the driveway where sheriff's deputies attempted to arrest Brown.
We still do not know what exactly happened and why three of the deputies opened fire, shooting Brown four times in the right arm and once in the back of the head, killing him.

There was hope that finding these cameras could shed more light on this, but that seems unlikely.
The Brown family's attorneys have a list of Brown's email addresses, usernames and passwords, and so far, there is no evidence he had a subscription with Ring.

No subscription, no recorded videos.

He would have been able to see live feeds from the cameras, but not record them.
Sellers said that he and the legal team asked Brown's family if anyone had the cameras.

"A family member was given [the cameras] by somebody at the scene on on the day, the morning of the shooting," Sellers said.

He did not say who gave her the cameras.
The Pasquotank Co. Sheriff's office told CPP that "The SBI was made aware that there was a camera when they were on scene that day."

The SBI did not confirm, as they do not speak about ongoing investigations. The sheriff's office did not describe how the cameras left the scene.
"We were glad to find the mystery of the cameras, everybody is, but now we got to find out what was on them, and if we can get anything off of them and that's the part that we were unsure on right now," Sellers said.
Brown's cameras are not make or break for the case, accd. to Sellers.

"There is a lot of evidence already about what happened. Those cameras would just add to it. But we're just left with the body camera which I believe in this case will be more than enough," Sellers said.
Sellers said that the legal team has been working closely with the SBI, "because they're the only unbiased, impartial investigative body we have."

He said the cameras would be turned over to the SBI yesterday or today.
