for btc to be a fully-fledged currency, crypto can't be a volatileinvestment asset, it has to dominate the system to achieve its decentralized utopia

bullish on the tech and what it enables, bearish on the decentralization

dont think a fully decentralized economy is possible
are enough people even interested in governing for decentralization to be a reality?

i think most are fine with a centralized government doing the governance and taking the blame

for decentralization to work, the number of people in governance has to 100x if not more
decentralization essentially means centralization but on more local levels

don't think that's going to happen, memes are too powerful and will ultimately coalesce people back to the kind of centralization we see today.
decentralization is an attempt to let massive nonlinearities develop on smaller scales instead of global ones

but you can't get rid of asymmetries. power, money, influence... all these things compound

those who have more will be given more
crypto can be humanity's tech stack only if we simultaneously upgrade humanity's psychological stack

for crypto to work, you need fundamentally freer people.

free not just from government shackles, but also from mimesis.
on a different note, it's funny how compounding is all the rage when it comes to learning and growth while it is literally rage when it happens with mobs.
