I don't want to write more on it, but if you have read the stuff about vaccine patents and are like "caring about Big Pharma profits?! What a weird hill to die on"

People will die. Millions of them.

Vaccines aren't profitable -> drugs don't get developed -> people die
Sometimes caring about people is about giving money to those in poverty.

Sometimes it's about paying Big Pharma for their vaccines.

In short, sometimes caring is boring and uncool.
"But what about the people who need vaccines now?"

"The US government can easily pay for these patents. If it doesn't, it's because it doesn't want to, not because it can't. If we sell future people down the river for short term gain, we fail the marshmallow test"
