The story that birth the Yorùbá Adage;

"ENI TÍ Ó LE SE ALÁBÀÁRU L'ÓYÍNGBÒ, KÒ LE SE BÌ ADÉGBÖRÒ L'ÓJÀ OBA".

Adégbörò was born in Ibadan Oyo state and later left Ibadan for Lagos in search of greener pasture.
When he got to Lagos and thought about what to do.

He later settled to work as a carrier using his head(Alàbàárú) at Òyingbò market to earn a living.

And this eased the pain of carrying loads on his head.

The cart also increased his income, Adégbörò continued saving.

Instead of spending the money he was making on himself.

He denied himself pleasure and easy living.
Few months after,he was able to acquired six (6) more carts.

which he rented out to his co-workers in the business of carrying loads(Alàbàárú).

After about 8years of using and renting out cart, Adégbörò bought a van which many called
"Bólékájà business".

Adégbörò became a proud owner of six(6) vans.

Adégbörò's Bólékájà business thrived and flourished.

The same Adégbörò that carried loads on his head
At Oyingbo market (Alàbàárú) became a rich man!!!!

Family, friends, neighbors, approached Adégbörò to show them the secret behind is success.

Show us the way?

Show us the secret behind your success?

We are ready to do anything you asks us to do?
Adégbörò would smile broadly and simply asked them,

If they could carried loads on their heads in the market (Alàbàárú) to earn a income?

And their response had always been "Never'.

He too would spontaneously say "ENI TÍ Ó LE SE ALÁBÀÁRU L'ÓYÍNGBÒ,
KÒ LE SE BÌ ADÉGBÖRÒ L'ÓJÀ OBA"

This is a replica of the adage also in Yorùbá land that says;

"Ojú tí kò rí yànnà yànná iná,
Yèyè yere Oòrùn, kì rí yìndìn yìndìn ide"

Meaning;

No pain,no gain; no guts,no glory.

Hard-working, consistency and dilligence paid him in the long run.
Wealth is built over time in a small bit but in a persistent way.

"A kì FI Ojó kAN,Bó OMO TÓ RÚ"

(A lean child cannot be fattened in just one day)

Meaning;

Good things take time,be patient.
And don't forget that self-belief and hard-work will always earn you success.

Ise ni Oogun ise
Mura Si Ise Re, Oremi.
Ise la fi di eni giga

Meaning;
