Yesterday mo chara Dylan spoke about bad Irish depictions in film. So as a film lover I thought I’d highlight some scannáin as Gaeilge. Some of these you can watch freely online and some you’ll have to pay for. As always though it’s great to see more films in the language.
First off it’s Song of Granite. It’s about the life of sean nós sinner Joe Heaney. Tá an cinematography go hálainn.

It’s available to rent and buy on Volta

Song of the sea is a beautiful animated film. Did you know that it was also dubbed as Gaeilge? You can catch this sometimes on TG4!
