People who are celebrating that BJP lost West Bengal elections must read this!

People who are sad that BJP could not win West Bengal elections must read this! (1/15)
In 21st Oct 1951, Jan Sangh came to existence

It was political arm of RSS

Under the leadership of Syama Prasad Mukherjee, it contested the first Lok Sabha elections

Jan Sangh contested in 92 seats & won in 3 seats

Out of this, two seats were from West Bengal! (2/15)
In the same year, West Bengal assembly elections were held

Out of 238 seats, Jan Sangh contested 85 seats

Even after repeated requests, people didn't come to contest elections from Jan Sangh

So, Jan Sangh won only 9 seats! (3/15)
Yet Syama Prasad Mukherjee was gaining popularity in Bengal

He had plans of strengthening Jan Sangh by the next assembly elections

But he mysteriously died in Kashmir in 1953! (4/15)
This was such a blow to Jan Sangh that in 1957 elections, not even a single candidate from Jan Sangh could win!

After Syama Prasad Mukherjee, BJP failed to get an influential leader in Bengal!

No other leader could repeat the magic he had done in Bengal! (5/15)
Situation kept getting worse for Jan Sangh

1962 elections, all 25 candidates from Jan Sangh lost deposits

In 1967, only one Jan Sangh candidate won out of 58 contested seats

Meanwhile, Communists kept gaining strength & by 1962, their vote share was 25%! (6/15)
In 1971 assembly elections, Jan Sangh won just one seat

In 1977, Jan Sangh got merged with Janata party

Janata Party contested in all the 288 constituencies and won 29 seats

Communists won 178 seats and Congress won 20 seats! (7/15)
Communists got powerful & Congress lost dominance in 70s & 80s!

In 1980, BJP came into existence but it won zero seats in 1982 elections!

Till 1998, BJP couldn't even win a single Lok Sabha seat other than two seats Jan Sangh won in 1952 in Bengal! (8/15)
BJP's first Lok Sabha victory in West Bengal was in 1998

But situation didn't improve much

BJP didn't even have vehicles for campaigning & no funds to pay rent

It didn't not have voter base & no men to campaign too! (9/15)
In 2011 assembly elections, TMC won 184 seats

But BJP won zero seats even though BJP contested in all the 289 seats

TMC had gained 38.93% vote share

But BJP had gained just 4.06% vote share! (10/15)
In 2016 assembly, TMC won 211 seats but BJP won 3 seats

TMC got 44.91% votes
BJP got 10.16%

But in just 5 years, BJP went up from 3 seats to 77 seats

Its vote share increased from 10.16% to 38.1%

Even in 2014 Lok Sabha, BJP won 2 seats and in 2019 it won 18 seats! (11/15)
Many so-called experts are saying that Modi-Shah failed in Bengal

Those experts are even praising Prashant Kishor

But the stats says that there is no improvement in TMC's performance in this election compared to that of 2016

It was almost stagnant! (12/15)
But after the arrival of Modi-Shah, BJP has kept multiplying its vote share and seat share in West Bengal

From zero seats in 2011 to 77 seats in 2011, the Modi wave is gaining prominence in West Bengal! (13/15)
There was a time when BJP didn't even have men for campaigning

But today 77 MLAs will be sitting in assembly to question the goons of Mamata

Isn't this an achievement? Who should be credited?

BJP's golden age will soon begin in West Bengal! (14/15)
Trust Modi-Shah

They will teach every goon in Bengal a lesson

Don't be disappointed just because we failed to form government

Every BJP karyakartha will be protected in West Bengal! (15/15)
