If you’re looking to build your brand on social media, the one thing you should always have at the back of your mind is to give value, like i said in my previous thread, no-one gives a shit about your product.
You need to stop building a PAY-WALL.
What’s a Pay-Wall? A pay-wall is the act of displaying that you provide value of a product for an audience, however “prohibiting” them from accessing the full value experience of the product without first paying money. Let me illustrate;
Let’s say for instance you sell clothes online, could be your brand clothe line or you probably sell as a retailer, and then you’re always posting great quality pictures of your clothes online and you also give your clothes to influencers to wear and promote your business,
you’re showing us that yes! Your clothe line has value, but you’re saying that the value can only be gotten with money, then people gets tired of seeing your clothes everyday online cuz they know there’s nothing beneficial from it, just clothe that has to be bought,
anytime i see such posts, I can’t engage with it, i either just look at, maybe ask for the price and then scroll or I don’t even do any at all and just scroll immediately.
But then imagine your clothe line posts contents of real value for free that makes people lives better in the line of your business which from the example of above is fashion,
let’s say you make posts about best way to style a classy fit, best way to style a oversized hoodie, best streetstyle fit to wear in 2021, how to dress to a fashion week, best yeezys to rock to a fest, best Nikes to cop.
These are value, these are value people will surely find beneficial and most definitely people will engage. So imagine after sharing tips like these with your audience and you say, if you wanna get such outfits, they’re available.
Tell me if they won’t buy, sales will boom most definitely cuz they see the real value, they now have an actual reason to buy your product.
A Pay-Wall isn’t Value, it’s Spamming!
Another illustration; Let’s look at two examples and explain to me which option you think will make your brand the most money and why?

Why- Showing your audience why your business is valuable.

How- Showing your audience how to use and solve problems with your products and services through mixed media contents such as insights, entertainment, tips, education, sharing & giving.
Brand A for Annoying
People don’t engage with pages that showcase their products, tell their audience why they exist or constantly promote their products and services. It’s boring, annoying and your audience have an ocean of better things to consume.
Brand B for Beneficial
People want immediate access to your value, by giving it away for free on your social, you start building a relationship with the viewer and you’re now giving them a reason to inquire to spend more!
And this will make your contents flow with the algorithm of Instagram as i explained in my last thread, causing Instagram to take your contents to the explore which will result in more traffic coming down to your page which can lead to a high rate of conversions (sales).
