Unfortunately we have lawmakers who are pandering to a vocal, pitchfork-waving minority of privileged parents who are still angry that our students will be learning about systemic racism.

And at a time when we should be thinking about how to retain 100,000 public school teachers at the end of an incredibly difficult year, we’re letting them pass a law which makes teaching in NC even less attractive than it already was. During Teacher Appreciation Week no less.
