The expected goal ratios, Chelsea dominated over the Real defense, even after having only 32 % possession.
Chelsea started with a 3-1-4-2, Real started with 3-5-2
The blues and Silva, Rudiger, Christensen in the back, Real looked for experimenting away from their natural style, which failed.
Real dominated the game in possession with a mighty 68% Pos
While Chelsea did well without the ball, they were able to control the game without the ball.
Mount was given the duty to pressuring the RM players while starting a buildups, Majority of the times they started the buildups from Militao, which was well tracked by mount.
Vinicus is a player who needs space to make runs and progressive attacks, but Vinicus couldn't do well in the 3-5-2 formation, he was the tightly closed by Chilwell, whenever Vinicus made the runs to collect the ball, he was kept out by Chilwell and Kante.
Whenever Militao used to get pressured Modric and Vinicus used to move into fill up the space but Chelsea kept Jorginho to track Modric and Chilwell for Vinicus, leaving few spaces for passing towards the attack.
There were many instances where Militao and Nacho looked to play longballs to Vinicus and Mendy, but Rudiger and Christensen respectively played it on with winning the aerial battles as well.
Modric played the deep lying role for Real, Whenever the CB's splited. Nacho and Militao were left with huge spaces, but they couldn't utilize it. Modric had to come down to play the provider from back role.
Whenever Chelsea pressed with 3 man, Nacho was used as the progressive player, who had the role to get the ball and connect it to the midfield through the left flanks.

Heatmap of nacho :
With the style real played against Chelsea, Modric and Kroos couldn't do much offensively and continued to do their defensive duties.

Heatmap of Modric and Kroos -
Modric went back with the CB's whenever Chelsea pressed with 3 man.
Chelsea did well while getting countered as well, Real didn't adapt with their new setup, which Chelsea made all use of by not giving spaces and pressing.
Transitions were key for Chelsea, 1 player used to drop back between the lines, to get the ball either from jorginho / Silva
Most of the times it was mount who breaked in between the lines.
Real had some advantages in the midfield whenever one from the front 3 used to drop in.
Which left the midfield for a 3v2
Quick passes and Swifts would have been key for the team at that point.
There were many spaces, which weren't closed by Ramos and Co, with poachers like Mount and Havertz in the team, it will always be a big disadvantage, it was the way how they conceded their 2nd goal.
The breakdown of the first goal - Christensen builded it up by a pass to Kante, while at the time havertz dropped in, havertz was covered by casemiro, but at the moment casemiro went past to cover Kante. Kante plays a great ball to Werner, who passes it back to Kante.
Which allowed Kai to be in a free like situation and to take down a 1v1, Kai chipped and hit the crossbar but the goal was converted by Timo.
Kante had another good night, playing deep in the midfield to playing the counters, he did another wonderful job.
Jorginho looked impressive with his performance.
The biggest advantage and the thing which Chelsea utilized was space : they done a great job in not giving real enough space to progress up. Ups to Mount for doing his job perfectly as well.
Chelsea has to improve in the midfield, whenever the attackers drop in.
The scoreline would have been 4-0 or something if Chelsea finished of their chances, Chelsea has to improve that, especially when they are going to fight against Peps mighty defense in the final!
Thanks
