Do not underestimate the power of a healthy financial mindset.

Getting started can be easy but having the nerve to stick to your goals requires determination.

Here’s 10 thoughts that inspire me to keep going.

1. Starting to invest is scary but the consequences of not starting are scarier!

The only person who will regret the passage of time is you.

The only person who can fulfil your dreams is you.

Time waits for nobody. Your dreams only become a reality if you make it.
2. Learn from those ahead of you.

The success of others should only motivate and push you to reach further.

Negative feelings breeds a negative mindset, which in turn affects your ability to thrive.
3. Take time to really think

Sometimes a little introspection does wonders for the mind.

Don’t be afraid of scrutinising your achievements once in a while to find out exactly what worked and what could have been better.

It will only push you further.
4. Are you being productive or are you just busy?

Be careful not to confuse the two.

If you are not getting anything of value from the way you are spending your time, you are not moving forward.

Consider your goals and whether you are taking the right action to reach them.
5. Financial freedom should come with peace of mind.

You are not truly free until you have taken care of your mindset. Take some time to reset your goals, reflect on achievements and appreciate the wins.

Freedom can be a long-term game - you want to last the journey.
6. Be proud of just showing up.

Consistency takes time. Embrace the little failures and don’t let them hold you back.

The fact that you get up and keep going is achievement enough.
7. Ignore the negative noise.

There may often be more discouragement than encouragement. Ignore the negativity.

If you’ve set out on a path you believe in, you will eventually find a way to reach your goal.
8. Learn from the past.

The past, however imperfect, is part of your identity.

Embrace it, learn from it and grow stronger because of it.
9. Perfection is overrated.

You want the hurdles to make you stronger.

You want the low times to make the high times stand out.

You want the bad to make the good taste sweeter.
10. Take that leap of faith

If you fail, you learn from the lessons. If you succeed, you learn from the lessons.

Either way you’re learning and improving yourself. There’s nothing to lose.
You’ve reached the end!
