[1/6] As part of its Strategic Plan of Actions (2019-2024), the ICCO is willing to contribute to increase #cocoa farmers’ income by encouraging the production of #superiorqualitycocoa as a way to generate added-value at farm level.

[2/6] The development and adoption of harmonized quality and flavour assessment standards and of a common terminology are prerequisites to trigger a quality-jump in the cocoa sector and to redistribute an increased global value along the value-chain.

[3/6] To that end, a Working Group on the development of International Standards for the assessment of Cocoa Quality and Flavors (ISCQF) and composed of representatives of cocoa research organizations, traders, chocolate manufacturers and development organizations

[4/6] was formed in 2015 under the coordination of the @BiovIntCIAT_eng and its @CocoaExcellence (CoEx) Programme

[5/6] At this point, it is crucial for our Exporting Members to contribute to the development and the adoption of harmonized international quality standards to be able to derive their own national one in a coordinated fashion;

[6/6] all cocoa stakeholders are therefore invited to provide feedback to these standards and to review the draft protocols by
