Time now for Sebastian Fox from @PHE to talk through his work on modelling excess mortality across England during the pandemic and how he collaborated with teams across various organisations

Sebastian explains how the team utilised agile working and daily stand ups to support their collaboration. They needed to collaborate with others when establishing data flows, developing their methodology, communicating outputs to users and building resilience in the team.

Fab presentations so far, now time for Alan Roberts from the International Comparators Joint Unit Data Team which is a joint unit between @cabinetofficeuk and @FCDOGovUK and is supporting improved decision making during the pandemic at the highest levels.
Alan explains how a range of complementary skills are brought to each commission by having multi-disciplinary teams from different departments & teams with numerous specialisms & professions. They also set up an expert panel to have access to expertise which the team lacked.
