I made this THREAD with a purpose to educate new fans- especially MYs- the new maknae group of SM family. I noticed most of them are out from SMTOWN so please do not make fun or see this a "child-thing" to do. AGAIN, enlighten purposes.
It was also requested to me to make this thread. This is a SUMMARY OF SMCU. The whole thread revolves mostly around #aespa as requested (FIRST).
BASIC INFORMATION:
Unlike other companies, SM is known for being creative within their concepts. They started the CONCEPT in KPOP. SM is literary own by the father of KPOP which is Lee Soo Man. That is why they have their own CULTURE UNIVERSE.

SMCU stands for Star Museum CULTURE Universe. To simplify, “SM’s worldview is no longer restricted to a single team and all its past & present artists share one big world together."

HOW DID IT START?
It started as a cross promotion strategy. Beginning with SNSD's Yoona in SUJU's U (2006) and Shinee's Minho in SNSD's Gee (2009). BUT, it was never taken seriously more than a "promotional-collabs".

Until recently in SuperM's Monster & Infinity- which shows #aespa 's logo. Ironically, this teaser was seen in MY, KARINA. Demonstrating that they will start the SMCU.
INTRO:
#SuperM introduced #aespa - they opened the world of SMCU. Although, according to SM #aespa is the first artist under this program.

From what I observed, other than #aespa- #EXO & #NCT (as a group) is part of SMCU and only #Taemin

is associated with the universe. #Redvelvet also plays a crucial role (Shall be explained in the whole SMCU thread).

#SUPERM: is a "super" group formed with present members of SM idol groups. As I've said- #Taemin , #NCT, and #EXO are the only male artist (so far) in SMCU. I believe they were picked by LSM due to their roles in his visions.

#EXO: THIS WILL BE A LOOONG thread if I include their universe. A lot of my co-exoLs already made their theories and videos about it, so I'll just simplify the whole thing for non-fans.
#EXO came from EXO planet and each was given a gift by the Tree of life. They're being attacked by the RED FORCE. They want their powers so they split the Tree of Life and create a parallel universe.
