Parallels between Virat Kohli & Rishabh Pant : A Thread
Both had to face the trauma of losing their father early in their career. Both displayed strong character when they turned out for their matches after the loss.

After performing rituals for deceased father, Pant & Virat scored a fifty for DC in IPL & 90 for Delhi in Ranji resp.
Pant is not originally from Delhi but he developed as a player in delhi only when he moved here at age of 12. And like Virat Kohli, he also represents Delhi. Both possess similar touch of fearlessness and attitude like in most of the Delhi boys.
Kohli came into limelight when he led India to victory in the 2008 U-19 World Cup. He scored 235 runs in 6 innings at 47 avg with a century. Pant also came to limelight to his exploits in the 2016 U-19 WC. He scored 267 runs in 6 innings at an avg of 44.50 with a century.
Virat had a forgettable IPL in 2008, where he scored 165 runs in 13 innings at an average of 15. Rishabh also failed in 2016 where he scored 198 runs in 10 innings at an average of 24.75. So both didn't have a good debut ipl season & then became one of the IPL greats.
Both are always ready to take the fight to the opposition. Their body language is always aggressive & Just like Kohli, Pant doesn’t take any shit from anyone.
Both of them got award & autograph from Asish Nehra when they weren't so famous.
Another thing they have in common is that both Pant and Kohli’s mother have the same name- Saroj.
Both of them suffered from a rough patch & got criticised & trolled mercilessly by experts & fans, made a lot of haters only to make one of the greatest comebacks in world cricket has ever seen & shutting a lot of mouths.
