(1 of 2) I think some don& #39;t realize the connection between what we& #39;ve been hearing about Giuliani recently and what we& #39;ve been hearing about Barr. As those who read Proof of Corruption know, the suspect Trump-Ukraine scheme involved Trump, Giuliani, Barr, Toensing, and diGenova.
(2 of 2) Those key players, plus lesser US agents (Parnas, Fruman) and lawyers and oligarchs in Ukraine (e.g. Firtash) had a scheme requiring cash and DOJ largesse going to Ukraine (via Barr) in exchange for election aid (as intel) to Trump. Thus the seizure of Toensing& #39;s phones.
(NOTE) I write this because I didn& #39;t realize until tonight that some very smart legal analysts think that Barr is only facing investigation for obstruction of justice. No—I wrote a book on this. The Giuliani case involves Trump, Barr, bribery and election fraud—not just lobbying.
(NOTE2) So Barr lying to a court and Congress on Mueller wasn& #39;t just about doing a political solid for Trump—but ensuring a coconspirator in a bribery and election fraud scheme would be in a position to cover up the scheme and pardon him. That& #39;s why it was worth the risk to Barr.
(NOTE3) My role as a journalist and researcher is to gather/curate the facts, which I did in Proof of Corruption with 5,000 major-media sources. I have no control over what law enforcement does with this information and the other information it has. I do worry it will do nothing.
