The Man Utd thread:

TGW fever is here, so here are my views on the various options to consider. I'm not going to spend any time on Bruno. Get him, captain him. That's it.
Firstly, their schedule is not kind! Don't expect ANYONE to be 100% nailed for all 3. In order of likelihood - I would rank them as Maguire > AWB > Bruno > Lindelöf > Rash/Shaw/Greenwood > Cavani

• Sun 9 May: Villa (A)
• Tue 11 May: Leicester (H)
• Thu 13 May: Liverpool (H)
Shaw v Maguire v AWB v Lindelöf
Maguire the most nailed of the 4. Hasn't missed a single minute in the PL so far. Followed by AWB. Both of these are low ceiling picks but almost guaranteed game time. In the last 6, Maguire has 4 shots but 0 created, AWB has 1 shot and 8 created.
Lindelöf has played consistently in the last few and is an ok option. However, threat from Tuanzebe or Bailly (back from Covid) remains. If one of them starts v Roma, then I'd confidently say Lindelöf will start all matches. No goal attempts in the last 6 though so ceiling is low
Finally, Shaw has the highest upside of the 4. He has created 16 chances in the last 6 matches and is part of the left sided diamond (Bruno/Shaw/Rashford) where most attacking impetus comes from. He might only play 2/3, but still could outscore Maguire/AWB given attacking treat.
Henderson vs DDG
Ever since DDG's injury in GW26, Henderson has started all PL games with DDG playing the EL ties. Expect this to continue with DDG starting on Thu. Logic says Henderson should play all 3, but one can't rule out Ole giving DDG the Leicester game for example.
Greenwood v Rashford
In the last 6, Greenwood has 4G, 1A, 17 SiB, and 3 BCC. Rash in comparison has 1G, 2A, 8 SiB, and 2 BCC.

Greenwood clearly ahead in stats, but Rash is more involved in the play and can be quite streaky. If Rash sits out on Thu, he is an intriguing option.
The games being so close together actually works in Greenwood's favour given even Rash can't play all games given his back issues. Add to that, Dan James is out for "some time" making Greenwood a likely starter in 2 of the 3 games. He can also cover if Cavani is out up top.
Cavani - he is a don't buy don't sell imo given injury record.

The main issue with either Greenwood/Rash/Cavani is that I expect Lei and Liv to be low scoring games. Therefore there could be merit in looking at a second defender instead of a second attacker to pair with Bruno.
Needless to say Thu's teamsheet v Roma is an important one. It is very possible that Van de Beek starts instead of Bruno and Telles plays instead of Shaw. Mata may also get some gametime.

If either Shaw or Rashford are rested they are great upside options for 35.
In conclusion, if on a FH I'd go for Bruno, Maguire and one of Shaw or Greenwood.

If not on FH 35 or 36 then it's fine to go with just 2 Utd players, especially if it means avoiding a hits or sub-optimal GW36 team.

Good luck. We're all Man Utd fans this week aren't we? 😈
