On a weekend in Tennessee, you can make $20+ an hour on this model.

But on weekdays, you’re starving.

The minimum wage in Tennessee is the same as the federal minimum wage of $7.25.

The last time it changed, I wasn’t legally able to drink.
The next time you go out to eat or order delivery food, be generous with your tip.

If it's on a holiday, and you're able, be outrageously generous. No one is working in the food industry on a holiday who isn't in great financial need.
One final thought: don't blame unemployment benefits. Tennessee has the lowest unemployment benefits in the nation.

The average weekly payout is a paltry $144.

And our Republican legislature just voted today to reduce the maximum time you can be on it to twelve weeks.
