Usually when you’re most aware of the loop is when you’re not distracted by other things. You’re just and listening to every bad thing that could possibly happen. And that’s when it’s easy to get hooked into those thoughts and start to really believe them
And doing compulsions is like pressing the down volume button, only the button is actually mislabeled so each time you think you’re gonna make the loop quieter it actually turns up the sound and makes it even harder to ignore
