I got an email from a conservative group this morning accusing Liz Cheney of being "woke". The GOP has reached a point where anyone who doesn't support the "Big Lie" is purged. This is so freaking dangerous, and people need to pay attention. 1/n

The GOP is getting rid of anyone who won't go alone with overturning an election in favor of the GOP. They are doing this at the local, state, and federal level. They are also gerrymandering the hell out of the states they control through gerrymandering. 2/n

The result is that if a Democrat wins the 2024 Presidential election, they will overturn, or refuse to certify the election, at every level. The result is that the decision on who is President will be kicked to the US House. 3/n

The rules state that each state delegation in the House gets 1 vote, based on which party has more seats in that state. Given that most small states lean red, this almost inevitably leads to a GOP President. 4/n

They attempted this EXACT strategy last election, but didn't quite have the votes to do it. Now, they're making sure that won't be the case again by purging anyone who won't go along with the plan to end democracy in the US. 5/n

Like the fish in "Finding Nemo" though, I haven't heard the GOP talk about how to hold a country together after a soft coup permanently disenfranchises a majority of the country.

Perhaps they hope that people will protest, then go back to normal. 6/n

Maybe they hope they can keep order with sham elections every 4 years to give Democrats and blue states false hope

Given what the GOP has planned, and how their vision for America is so radically different from the rest of the country, I don't think either is true. 7/n

Yes, you can call me alarmist. I stand by this assessment, given what we saw January 6th, how the big lie narrative has become the new "Stab in the back", and watching the methodical purge of anyone who might prevent this outcome. 8/n
