So what is the point of these MASSIVE , BLOATED , UNQUALIFIED development teams?

Back to my main point. How is gaming going to die? what does this have to do with my other points? Well as software gets more complicated. Game Software engines are going to be easier to use by everyone. But who controls the software controls the content.

But can gamers survive outside the system? maybe

PC gaming is still relatively safe. I wont mention the thing by name but its still run by decent people however recent competition has fucked with their ability to just vibe and provide people with games without any bullshit involved.

If said thing is ever forced to change. Or nu-management becomes a thing. All of gaming is at risk. because while people can make their own engines , and make their own games. finding a place to sell them without agreeing to censorship or other conditions is haaard.

yes. If you are a competent human being who actually can code at a high level , have a solid game idea , and are in a large enough peer community for help and outsourcing of tasks. You can absolutely make a great game

game engines like unreal can make incredible experiences but you are not going to watch a few youtube videos to figure out how to use it. You likely need expereince in the industry.

if you are working in a studio and you hate it and have a good game idea you should honestly quit and try to make your own game. Worst thing that could happen is you go poor , best thing that can happen is microsoft buying your game for a billion dollars

but making a game isnt enough. Your game needs to enshrine the values you have as a gamer and a person. If you want to fight the corporate world you need to be like @timsoret and try to make a AAA game that spits in face of the authoritarian left.

Gaijin entertainment. Famous for their grind slavery simulator war thunder , has put out a beta test for their new ww2 shooter enlisted. I have over 100 hours in the game and its like cod2 made sweet passionate love to red orchestra and battlefield 1942 watched.

The game is a bit grindy because its free to play. However its early enough in development (like war thunder was) that its extremely fun to play. I have only started to get bored due to lack of content at around 110 hours. there are no women or minorities (except siberians)
