- the issues with omori, a thread

@Ranboosaysstuff @ranaltboo
It's shown in the Omori that sunny develops an "alter ego" (omori) after a traumatic event. this is almost exactly what happens in DID and OSDD1, in which a person's brain splits to protect itself after an extremely traumatic event at a young age.
after the trauma is repressed more and more, omori is shown as more violent towards sunny. this is what's called the evil alter stereotype, in which a character with DID/OSDD1 is portrayed as having an alter that is extremely violent, usually murderous.
this is a common trope seen in crime shows, and it stigmatizes DID/OSDD1 as being inheritably evil and dangerous disorders. this is ableist because, as stated previously, DID/OSDD1 is a trauma response that is done in order to protect someone from trauma.
I know that Ranboo means no harm by this, but playing this game and airing these harmful stereotypes for such a huge audience will only harm thw systems of mcyttwt that already get harassed constantly. this is me humbly asking you, ranboo, to not play this game please <3
