Same with vaccines, by the way. Not a single expert I've ever talked to agrees they could have stopped a third wave, because you can't vaccinate at an exponential rate. It was up to public health measures. Ontario trashed those, and was warned what would happen if they did.

Meanwhile, LA County is only now opening bars, with 54% of people at at least one dose, test positivity at 1%, cases at about 21 per 100K per week. Oh and at the time, 3.2% of Ontario was vaccinated, near enough. Ontario made its choice, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something.
I'm honestly sorry to be a broken record on this, on all of this. But the truth of what happened matters, and people are trying to lie about it.

In the legislature, Doug Ford just used Roberta Place again as an example of cases brought in through the border, and that was true. And again, it happened in January, and was a warning. His government reopened the province in February.
