Eruri and Yumihisu are the top two AoT ships that I adore. Although the four characters are individual and unique, there are so many similarities with their dynamics that I would like to touch upon!
"Something saved us..."
For Ymir and Levi, life was only about survival. Upon meeting Historia and Erwin, they discovered a newfound purpose in life. Ymir wanted to be with Historia and wanted her other friends to become true to themselves as well.

Levi found purpose in following Erwin up until his death and in fighting for the dreams the Survey Corps envisioned.
"Levi and Ymir were the first to see through the real Erwin and Historia"
Levi was the only person that saw Erwin& #39;s true self. Isayama described it as a "child with an innocent dream who had the responsibilities of an adult".

He wore the mask of a demon because his role as a commander, a position that only fell upon him, required him to be one for the sake of humanity& #39;s survival. But this role took heavy toll on Erwin& #39;s mental well-being and identity.
Ymir knew that Historia was only putting up an act. In order to appease those who wanted her dead, Historia took the name Krista Lenz, a "Good Girl".
Ymir saw through her and knew that she was only putting up a fake persona of a selfless, kind girl. However, the real Krista, is someone vastly different, a brutally honest girl that isn& #39;t afraid to step on toes.
The main difference is: People wanted Historia dead. Hence, Ymir urged Historia to transform into her true self, to LIVE for herself and to reclaim the name Historia Reiss, the True Queen of the Walls.
They wanted to bring Erwin back to life, which would ultimately force him to whisk away the remains of his sanity and humanity. Thus, Levi let Erwin DIE as who he truly is, not as a commander or the next god of destruction, but as the curious child inside his father& #39;s classroom.
"I trust your judgement" and "I& #39;m on your side"
Despite the secrets or reasons their partners kept, they ultimately trusted them and would be by their side to fight with them no matter what.

"Your objective is to protect..."
Throughout the story, Ymir& #39;s actions have been greatly influenced by the need to protect Historia. She argued for Historia to retreat to safety and avoid the front lines.

Later in the series, Levi showed the same inclination towards Erwin. The night before the Wall Maria mission, Levi asked Erwin to stay behind, for the fear that Erwin may lose his life. Frustrated with Erwin& #39;s decision to proceed, he took out his anger on Jean and Eren.
Ymir and Levi were also willing to sacrifice their lives and jump in the front lines to protect them when the worst scenario came.
"I& #39;ll break both of your legs"
Both Levi and Ymir hated the idea of Erwin and Historia risking their lives under the pretence of "noble-sounding" excuses. Ymir and Levi didn& #39;t want them to sacrifice their lives just to feel better about themselves.

If they wanted to take part in something, they must do it because they really wanted to and not for the appearance of helping others.
"Bring Them Back"
Historia and Levi were desperate to bring back their partners. They would& #39;ve done whatever it took to see them again. However, in the end, they decided to respect their choices and let them go.

For Historia, she realized that it was what Ymir chose for her life, and Historia didn& #39;t want to interfere with that.
Similarly, Levi remembered Erwin& #39;s "thank you" for giving him the permission and strength to die with his men, a choice that Erwin ultimately took for himself.

"Forever with them"
Even with the death of Erwin and Ymir, a part of them would always remain with Levi and Historia. Levi continued to live his life with no regrets and dedicated his life to give meaning to their sacrifices.

On the other hand, Historia chose to live for herself by rejecting the Beast Titan and by becoming the "worst girl", no longer the good girl she pretended to be.
