#MikaylaMiller was a 16 year old teenage athlete and honors student. she was kind-hearted young girl who had dreams of attending an hbcu to study journalism. she had never been in a fight, arrested or suspended from school.
she was harassed & jumped by older white teenage boys before being found dead under suspicious circumstances on april 17. her family believes that she was lured to her death & attacked by the same teenagers who jumped her the first time. no arrests or charges have been made yet.
so far law enforcement have lied, disrespected, & withheld information from mikayla's family on multiple occasions. police sgt. o’brien told mikayla's mother to trust that mikayla’s death was a suicide & threatened her to not inform the media about this because mikayla is gay.
we’re demanding @DAMarianRyan conduct an independent investigation into mikayla miller’s death and the @Hopkintonpolice and @MassStatePolice millbury barracks with full transparency.

it is critical that mikayla’s life & her family be respected & honored by finding the truth!
