Viral in Korea: convenience store GS25 accused of misandry for camping campaign with ad featuring hand reaching for small wiener. Netizens claim imagery resembles logo of radical feminist site Megalian, which symbolises Korean men's "small" penis.

Now deleted. GS has apologised.
Netizens claim the ad was deliberate slander against men. They say the last letters of the "EmotionAL CampinG Must-havE IteM" wording read as MEGAL in reverse, which is the nickname for Megalian in Korean.
Facing controversy, GS25 edited the ad, deleted the hand and small wiener sausage, and replaced it with a moon and three stars at the bottom. Netizens said it was deliberate and resembled the moon and three stars of the "La Lune" SNU feminist group.
So GS25 edited it again and removed all the controversial items in the ad. Not that netizens were satisfied: some people found the original Getty stock image and noted that the constellation had apparently been edited and seems to look like the repeated hand of the Megalian logo.
GS25 has now apologised for the hiccup, said that some designs "could have caused misunderstandings to customers" and that "In the future, GS25 will prepare for promo images and wording with more careful consideration."
It's not without precedent that "hints" from misogynist website Ilbe have found themselves hidden in mainstream media like when KBS used an edited SNU logo (said to have been an accident).

Netizens love to find these patterns in the ongoing gender divide plaguing Korean society.
