NEW INFO: Michael Hernandez’s death was captured on video inside the Columbia Correctional Institution in Lake City, Florida. A source briefed on the death tells @CBSMiami Hernandez collapsed inside the prison at 5:41 pm on Thursday

Preliminarily there are no signs of foul play, according to the source, but FDLE has taken over the investigation. An autopsy will be performed. @CBSMiami

Hernandez, 31, was serving a life prison term for the murder of middle school classmate Jaime Gough in 2004. Gough was 14.
The murder remains one of the most horrific cases in South Florida as Hernandez lured Gough into the school bathroom and stabbed him to death. @CBSMiami
