I keep writing and deleting angry tweets about Prop B passing, I feel terrible for the pain that is about to come down on those who are already having a hard time. Like I needed more reminders that the world is a savage place. cont.
The same people who voted Yes on Prop B, got in the way of every attempt to build transitional housing, when there was discussion of moving the ARCH out of downtown, they said "no don't put it out here" when a proposed land purchase for a hotel happened someone sued the city,
You voted for prop B because you were convinced by a pac running scary commercials on tv and internet SAN had google ads, youtube commercials, fb sponsored posts to convince you no one's been dt because they were scared of tents, and not because of a pandemic,
cont.
You voted for Prop B because you genuinely hate the homeless and don't care about them, some of you are at least honest about that. Your clean streets are going to cost people their lives, lessening their chance at way out of the system by giving them a record.
Yes I support being critical of the city gov attempts to deal with the issues of housing, but Prop B does nothing to address that. It arrests people for having nowhere to go. It is so poorly worded that if you are sitting and you "look homeless" you can be cited, harassed.
