Like, Lydia Bean lost a 2020 state rep race by 9 points, jumped into this one, got the Texas AFL-CIO endorsement, and is cruising around 4% of the vote.
This is basically what would have happened in the district 10 years ago, when Dems were uncompetitive. Their problem now: People are feeling their oats about "blue Texas" so a bunch of credible-ish candidates with no path to victory piled in.
