You know what I’m taking this trend too. Some of these might be positive, but a lot will be negative. If something I say isn’t unpopular, or you want to throw your own two dents in, feel free to QRT me. Just don’t be a dick.

1. Colorful Voice is a really amazing song that I don’t understand any of the hate for. It’s just a cute, fun genki song.

2. Over the Rainbow is absolutely garbage and bottom tier Love Live. Everything it can do wrong outside of the soundtrack it does do wrong. It’s such a step backwards from everything the series had lead up to that I’m shocked it was released in its state.

3. AZUNA is the worst subunit and all of their songs minus Kakushiaji! are in the bottom 10 of the entire series.

4. Chika is the only protagonist who means nothing to me as a character. I can’t feel like I relate to anything she goes through and I don’t like her development as a character. This is not to call her a bad character, just one I can’t like.

5. Lanzhu and to the extent, the rest of SIFAS S2 has been really good writing wise. There’s issues, yes, but it’s not an unenjoyable story by any means.

6. Muse is the best EVERYTHING Love Live has and will ever have. Aqours and Nijigasaki have their ups but also their downs, but Muse doesn’t have nearly as many misses song wise as any other group.

7. The Nijigasaki anime was good. Really good. Amazingly good. I want a S2 purely because this cast of characters is phenomenal.

8. Setsuna would be an amazing character if her SIFAS writing was as consistently great as her anime writing was. Her SIFAS writing makes her into a boring character who never loses unless the plot literally cannot advance if she wins.

9. Ayumu has the best development of any of the characters anime wise. I will not debate this one with anybody lol

10. KiRa-KiRa Sensation is dull. Very dull.

11. CHASE! is the most overused and most annoying song in the series.

12. (This is the last Setsuna related take I’m sorry lmao)

DIVE! is literally CHASE! 2. Same song.

13. Sore wa Bokutachi no Kiseki isn’t annoying whatsoever. Even in SIFAS, this song is never annoying.

14. Dream Live Parade is fucking AWESOME. This mode is super fun and super satisfying to get through.

15. SIF art is terrible nowadays.

16. SIF has too much competition that do it’s gameplay so much better than it does that it isn’t even worth playing anymore.

17. SIFAS is incredibly fun. Once you know what to do, the game isn’t as tedious as you’d think and can be incredibly rewarding.

18. SIFAC is the biggest scam this series has ever released game wise and should absolutely be forgotten to the sands of time.

19. A-RISE is dead jokes were never funny.

20. Hanayo is criminally underrated. She’s a really good character not a lot of people appreciate for whatever reason. This one might not be unpopular but I don’t care. Love for the rice baby.

21. After School Navigators is the hardest this series will ever go music wise and it is better than every attempt the series made otherwise. BiBi, Guilty Kiss and DiverDiva have nothing on this.

22. This series is more than and always will be more than ships. If your main reason for disliking a character is because of shipping, then you need to give them another chance.

23. Genki subunits are inherently flawed minus Printemps. They did it first and they did it best by a mile. CYaRon has a few great songs too.

24. There are no canon pairings in Love Live. Unless literally said to be canon, it is not.

All your ships are valid unless you ship DiaRuby.

25. The art style Nijigasaki used was fresh and really pleasing to the eye. I really want to see more of this style, as it looks genuinely great.

26. None of Love Live’s CGI looks bad. Some of it looks better than others, but it is all decent at worst.

27. All of Nijigasaki’s group songs are good. They sound really good as a group.

28. Peak. Love. Live.

29. Mermaid Fiesta Vol 1 is way better than Vol 2.

30. To be truly good, Nijigasaki’s subunits need shuffling. They don’t work very well outside of QU4RTZ and could be swapped around to make them just sound better.

31. Beautiful Moonlight is a great song, but it is 100% not underrated in any way. That song gets the recognition it deserves and then some.

(I’m stopping this at 35.)

32. Koi ni Naritai Aquarium is a really boring song.

33. Kasumi works best as a comic relief character, and SIFAS S2 pushing her as the main character really doesn’t work that well.

34. SIFAS Yuu is a mistake of a character. She does nothing to advance the story, nothing of interest and just wastes screentime.

35, and the last one I’m dropping.

Love Live Twitter has been one of the kindest and most accepting places I’ve ever been a part of. It has its issues, but this is where I’ve met my bestest friends and had a lot of fond memories. I wouldn’t trade this place for anything. Ily.
