When GRARG reviewed the #AskYourPCC manifestos on http://www.choosemypcc.org.uk , we found that only 23% of candidates (39) mentioned women and/or VAWG in their manifestos. Some of these statements talked about rape, a crime committed by men. How will those crimes be recorded?

Reader: The candidateâs manifesto did not address recording crimes committed by males as being recorded as committed by women, and on the matter of female strip searches, his manifesto said it actively supported the victims code which refers to âgenderâ not sex
