Why Bakugou vs AFO would be neat

Before I start, I just wanna say this isn't me saying that this is going to happen nor do I think it's the biggest possibility. It's just me exploring a thought, just a big 'WHAT IF' thread if you will.

I actually agree that having Shiggy 'take down' AFO is a more narratively pleasing moment. Him breaking free of the hands that groomed then controlled him. Good stuff.
But knowing that, again this thread is just a what if idea. so enjoy! Or don't

My first reason, which is a very surface level point. Is that AFO has named Bakugou, he knows his name. that's it

AFO was undoubtedly the biggest reason for the Kamino incident, which serves as a huge milestone in Bakugou's arc.

AFO also forced All Might to use the last bit of his power at that moment, which again is a huge milestone in Bakugou's character arc

No explanation needed

Another surface level reason: AFO has injured All Might, Best Jeanist and Bakugou (all in the gut ha). Reminder that All Might and Best Jeans are his mentors who he does care about and respect

I've always deemed Bakugou as the 'cut to the chase' type of person, meaning he would look for the source of the problem and deal with it. This is just me speculating, but I can see him deeming AFO as the biggest source of the problem.

Another HC of mine is that, whilst he not particularly like it, I think Bakugou would atleast understand why Deku wants to save Shiggy. Because he was once that kid who looked like they needed help. Hori putting lil Deku in the same clothes in these panels was on purpose imo

Going back to my previous point about Bkg deeming AFO as the main problem

Taking down AFO would also make Deku's confrontation with Shiggy easier.

And it allows Bkg to let Deku offer the very hand that he rejected, but helped him too

I think a neat addition to Bakugou's atonement arc would be helping Deku to offer his hand to Shiggy. Because he now understands why Deku offered his hand and that moment is a key moment in his arc.

Also when I say Bkg vs AFO I don't specifically mean Bkg being alone. I actually want him with a team but him being a main player, just because.

AFO being taken down by the very "type" of  people he stole from, used and looked down on, (anyone who doesn't have OFA and AFO or multiple quirks) just leaves a good taste in my mouth.

Being defeated by the very thing he took advantage of and underestimated.

Also AFO being the type to emotionally manipulate and rile up his opponents and use it as their weaknesses is an interesting opponent for someone like Bkg, for obvious reasons.

Uhh I need Bakugou to have a serious villian fight, his quirk has so much cinematic potential.. also for narritive reasons ofc

But yeah that's kinda the end of my indulgent thinking. I know I have a 100% chance of being wrong but again, this is just a what if thread.
