the best ways to boost your metabolism; a thread ♡︎

♡︎- this May be basic Information that everyone Knows but i Still wanted to make a Thread about it DD:

firstly, your metabolism is all of the processes happening inside your body and the minimum amount of energy that your body needs to do this is called your BMR and to increase your metabolism, you need more muscle mass to use up this energy so
1- eat lots of protein !!! this helps with reducing muscle loss due to the amino acids and it causes the largest rise in TEF meaning it can increase your metabolism by 15-30% - much higher than other types of foods!!
examples of proteins you can eat are:
⁃tofu !
⁃lot’s of meat ! i recommend turkey and chicken
⁃eggs!! pretty low cal and can be made in so many ways :D
⁃nuts and seeds - kinda high cal but if you portion them right they’re good ^__^
⁃dairy! try low fat yogurt or milk🌸
2- this is a very universal thing for helping weight loss - drinking lots of cold water!! by drinking 0.5L / 2 cups of water your metabolism increases by 10-30% for around an hour ! ;;it can also help u feel more full ^__^
3- do high intensity workouts!! they don’t have to be extreme or super long but they have the effect of boosting your metabolism and still burning fat after finishing them ♡︎
4- drinking tea !! specifically green tea or oolong tea (ง'̀-'́)ง these can help temporarily with increasing metabolism and losing weight! i also saw a while ago that if you put some pepper in your tea it can help you burn even more fat :0
5- make sure you’re sleeping properly!! 7-9 hours !! by sleeping you burn more calories and are less hungry / more likely to eat than when awake. sleep deprivation has many negative effects on your metabolism and there’s more risk of obesity so pls get your sleep >\\\\\\<
6- drinking coffee!! your metabolism can be boosted by 3-11% by drinking this :PP ☕️ yum yum

7- this one is pretty obvious but restricting too much can cause your metabolism to go 📉 - if you prefer to low-medium restrict on most days, try to eat more on weekends ! even if you eat more than usual you can also burn it off through exercise !!
8- consuming enough B vitamins!! ways you can include them in your diet is through:
⁃bananas
⁃eggs
⁃potatoes
⁃peanut butter
⁃peas
⁃spinach
🌸
9- intermittent fasting! this isn’t for everyone but if you eat over your intake one day and then restrict to low/med restriction the next can help speed up metabolism and weight loss !!!
