The biggest impediment to the uplift of black people are black leaders.

Those on the left who claim that black uplift is dependent upon the eradication of systemic racism proffer a debilitating lie that denies agency and dismisses the importance of personal responsibility 1/10
Those on the right however are equally culpable. For example many claim that the low level of black academic attainment is simply due to blacks not studying enough & the implication is that blacks are lacking in effort, thereby stigmatising blacks as being wilfully indolent 2/10
Failing to acknowledge the role of cardiorespiratory fitness in providing the necessary energy required to persist with studying is utter negligence. Blacks have the lowest levels of CRF compared to other groups & this explains at least partially their poor academic outcomes 3/10
Studying for harder & longer may very well be the keys to academic success, but what will facilitate that ability in blacks is improving nutrition, which will in turn help to improve metabolic health & cardiorespiratory fitness & executive function & impulse control 4/10
The way to improve CRF within blacks is by focusing on parental preconception metabolic & mitochondrial health. This will ensure that black children don't need to start the race of life playing catch up 5/10
Blacks fare worst in the important parental preconception biomarkers associated with CRF & executive function & impulse control in the offspring

e.g. weight, inflammation, oxidative stress, blood pressure, folate, omega 3/6 ratio, vitamin D, iron, iodine etc 6/10
It will be impossible for blacks to improve their outcomes relative to other groups while they have the worst physiological biomarkers of other groups.

The ones who benefit are black leaders who can profit from black underperformance. Is this why they remain silent? 7/10
Why are you silent @GlennLoury @wil_da_beast630 @thomaschattwill @JohnHMcWhorter @kmele @LeonydusJohnson ?
Improving metabolic & mitochondrial health & cardiorespiratory fitness within the black community is the best evidenced way to close academic gaps 8/10
