POGBA

United believe that a 2nd place finish and a European Trophy will convince Paul to stay and sign a new deal. His main concern have always been the lack of trophies, but if we invest well in the summer window it’s very likely he wants to stay and be apart of the project.

STRIKER POSITION

Haaland have been our number 1 target since early 2020. United have always planned and prefered to buy Haaland in 2022 when his €78m release clause becomes active. Dortmund demanding a fee of €150m will not be paid by anyone except possibly Chelsea.

Only that Haaland does not really want to go to Chelsea unless they pay him unreal amounts of money. So the most likely thing is still that Haaland stays. Kane is not going to another PL club this season. PSG is interested in him if they sell Mbappe to Real Madrid.

United have been in contact with Ronaldo’s camp and will maximum be able to offer wages of €400k on a 2 year deal + 1yr option. But with Cavani now staying it seems very likely that there will be no Ronaldo, unless we sell someone like Martial.

I have been told this morning that Cavani staying is 99% done. They will sign the contract extension in the coming days, and most likely announce the extension on Tuesday or Wednesday.

RW POSITION

Sancho is our clear number 1 target now when Haaland is looking more and more unlikely due to the high fee.

Last year Dortmund wanted €120m for Sancho, this year they are said to want €100m.
United will look to offer around €80m + add ons.

Expect this deal to take time if Dortmund sticks to their €100m demand. United knows that Dortmund will not be able to keep Sancho again, because next year he would only have 1 year left on his contract and therefor would not be worth more than around €50m in 2022.

Also Dortmund learned the hard way when they saw how much it affected Sancho at the start of the season when they denied him his dream move to Old Trafford. They are not dumb enough to commit that same mistake twice, United are in a strong position to negotiate hard with BVB.

Other options we have looked at when it comes to our right wing is mainly, Raphinha. As he is a good friend of Bruno and United believe they could probably offer Daniel James + Cash for him because Leeds absolutly love DJ. We have also kept an eye on Allan Saint-Maximin.

But keep in mind United do not have ”Priority Positions” under Solskjaer when it comes to the Transfer Market.
We have ”Priority Players”.

So players like Raphinha, Allan Saint-Maximin are far down the pecking order so do not get your hopes up if you want them to come to us.

CDM POSITION

United will hold talks with West Ham at the end of the season to see if they would be willing in swapping Lingard + cash for Declan Rice.

He is said to be very interested in coming to United and Solskjaer see him as the perfect player to play in his system.

United value Lingard close to £40m due to his recent performances. They have previousily leaked news of an extented deal being on the table for Lingard to warn possible suitors that they will have no issue with keeping Jesse if he don’t generate the fee they think he deserve.

United are in a very strong position and will not just bend over for West Ham if they demand an outrages fee for Declan Rice. Then Lingard could very well be sold to another team as he has many more interested clubs now than he did in January. Inter Milan being one of them.

Camavinga is a target of United but not as high up the priority list as previously believed to be. Bissouma were also a target only weeks ago as we have scouted him for months, but with Brighton looking more and more likely to stay up we will not go in for him.

CB POSITION

If Varane were to become avalible for a good price then there is a strong possibility that we could pause the Declan Rice move until 2022. United will prioritize Varane before ANYONE (except Sancho) this summer.

Jules Kounde and other CB’s we are linked with are not of interest. Pau Torres interest is put on hold. Only way he could become a target is if many of our other targets such as Sancho, Rice, Varane and others completely fails and we had money just sitting there.

Only CB we could look to bring in is a cheap talent in and around £10-20m if there was money left to be spent or if someone like Tuanzebe were to go on loan or be sold to (for example) Aston Villa who have shown interest.

RB POSITION

Max Aarons were previously looked at, but is no longer a target. Kieran Trippier is pretty much nailed on for the summer, as he is expected to leave Atletico to join United in the summer to act as a backup to Wan-Bissaka. Trippier almost joined already in January.

This summer there are many United players that are for sale or have contracts that will not be renewed.

DVB’s agent is quietly looking for a new team that will have to pay the same fee United paid Ajax, or he will stay. More on the last months update.

Matic have interest from 2 unnamed Serie A clubs and Benefica. Mata is thought to be offered a coaching role if he so desires.

Peirera, Dalot will look to be sold as they are far from wanted by Solskjaer despite what he might say in future press conferences. Romero will leave in the summer as his contract expires. Phil Jones is expected to stay as he currently has no interested clubs.

De Gea wants a move to Atletico Madrid to stay closer to his newborn and family who lives there. If Atletico don’t sell Oblak then PSG will be the most likely destination. As they will only buy De Gea if Oblak leaves.

United are looking at Johnstone and Areola as backup keepers for Dean Henderson. West Brom are set to be relegated and with Johnstone only having 1 year left on his contract he can be obtained for a cheap fee. Areola will most likely be included in a deal if De Gea goes to PSG.
