“Don’t criticze. Spread positivity. See how you can help others”

This statement is made with the assumption that people who criticise Governments are not helping others and people who post messages like “spread positivity” are helping others.

Let us learn to call a spade a spade and not get stuck in this propaganda of “spreading positivity”.

The central Govt has bungled up COVID19 vaccination despite us having the vaccines (large chunk exported) and technical expertise of running vaccination campaigns.

If we had planned and stocked only 44 crore doses, we would have by Feb-Mar fully vaccinated >45y with two doses through our decentralised public health vaccination system. It would have prevented a catastrophe.

This was not done and a centrally controlled CoWin strategy was implemented. Currently our fully vaccinated >45y stands at 3.3%. Public health vaccination was something for which we are world renowned and we bungled it up.

Now that a catastrophe has happened, we could have and can prevent a lot of deaths just by ensuring proper distribution of oxygen which is again centrally controlled!!!

We are bungling it up. It pains to see that oxygen shortages in hospitals but no shortage of Oxygen where it is produced (distribution problem)

Bungling vaccination and O2 supply are instances (basic errors) where lives could have been saved if simple decisions were taken. But no in Feb-Mar, PM and HM were busy in West Bengal and other elections.

Vaccine Maitiri was being done and shown as propaganda. We had quotes from PM and others that we have won the war despite experts talking about inadequate surveillance of mutants and possible second wave.

I despite having all this understanding as a public health expert am expected to not criticise the Govt as this is seen as “Spreading Negativity”. Sorry the problem is not me but you. I cannot be indifferent and elitist.

I will spread positivity by sharing the truth with public and at the same time help all my friends and families with Covid to the best of my abilities and also at the same time do my official work for which I get paid (salary).
