That actor on Oprah?

With a massive platform, EP was suicide baiting trans identified kids ("life saving surgery, kids will die if they can't play sports").

I'm just suggesting, harmful views might just be a better thing to highlight than "woah, EP looks a bit peaky."
"There's no art to find the mind's construction in the face," and if you're diagnosing depression on a TV interview, I have a bridge to sell you.

Criticise the terrible ideas, don't have a go at a women/transmen based on appearances.

Same old sexism, different day.
Many famous men have rocked up in a state, looking like absolute hammered sh1te.

I'm a lesbian, but this man used to be objectively beautiful.

When he lost his looks, he did cop some flack, but there was nobody nodding sagely about "poor man" or how unhappy he must be.
Even when he looked like this, people said, "Axel is on his own journey," and nodded sagely.

Just goes to show, there's no escaping all the bullshit that goes with xx chromosomes.

Tackle EPs views, leave EPs looks alone.

And actually, I'm going to stick my neck out here.
Visual images of certain types of trans people are very effective in "peaking" people.

That one in the shelter with the tent pole in the mirror. The distended stomach and the fishnets. Red dress and semi.

The botched surgeries, of the Canadian loon who loves firemen and baths.
This type of image is in the public domain for one reason alone.

The person who took it wants you to see it.

They may have a humiliation fetish.

Every single time somebody sees it, or posts a 🤮emoji, they are getting off on it.

They are humiliated, yes, but they like it.
I'm not involving myself, or anybody else, in the humiliation /masturbation fantasies of a disturbed individual.

And yes, somebody else - every time I share an image like that, I involve people on my timeline

The costs of sharing these images far outweighs the benefits for me
And I'm not sharing images of kids who've had double mastectomies, or adult women posing shirtless and newly bescarred with their surgeons.

Or images of intersex genitalia, and maybe most especially intersex kids' genitalia.

I won't share these for a different reason.
Those kids are people. Those women are people. The intersex people are people.

I know how the fetishistic pics I talked about earlier got in the public domain, but I don't know how this type of pic did

Who took the pic? Why was it published? To what end?

Who benefits?
In these cases, it's very, very often exploitative.

Gender surgeons boasting about their "wins."

Doctors boasting about the "weird" configuration of genitals they've corrected, with ghoulish glee.

I'm not going to share that either.

I don't want to partake in that, thanks.
There's this thing that "a picture is worth 1000 words," and yes, I think that's sometimes correct.

But there are cases in which we really should go for the 1000 words instead.

And so back to EP.

Let's take the view that EP is actually what the folk posting pics suggest.
Let's say EP is utterly sad, depressed, miserable, regretful about everything from their hair cut to their choices regarding their marriage

Let's say that, as I've seen some people say, EP looks suicidal, on the edge of tears constantly

What follows, even if all this is true?
What follows is that we should have compassion for somebody suffering, and draw back from humiliating them for it, whilst at the same time, paying very close attention to the terrible ideas of somebody with such a huge platform, and attacking them on that front.
To reiterate, "I can see you are suffering, but using your massive platform to suicide bait young trans identified people" is a very much more helpful message than "FML, EP looks effin' miserable, thought transition was supposed to make you happy, lol."
I would go as far as to say that, if this is what you are saying, you are expressing the very attitudes about women that make young women want to flee womanhood like a house on fire, to borrow a phrase
