why focus on investigating/knowing "our identities"? such an anti-relational, human-centric framing. why not focus on learning relations, both human & non-human? (which is not always lovey-dovey either). why does it have to be about us/me, the human subject? so Eurocentric.
when we say "stole my identity" instead of "stole our children," "stole the land," decimated & "stole our relationships with nonhuman relatives," this helps reinforce settler ideas that they don& #39;t have to restore what was stolen. they can just "respect our identity."
