One step at a time. There's no need to rush.

I'm quite sure that almost everyone of us have heard that saying. But perhaps haven't taken time to really understand what it means. Let me help you decipher what that phrase could mean.
You see one step at a time means 2 things.

1. You are making progress.
2. You have a time frame to move to your next mission.

And the truth is that these are good things. In fact, every man should look forward to and cherish when he is told to take things one step at a time.
But then nobody tells you how this phrase is a landmine. A double edged sword doesn't describe it properly. Its a landmine with a lot of complications.

If you allow the phrase this phrase lead you to rest on your oars, you'd fall victim to time and eventually blame yourself.
On the other hand, if you are an enterprising and hardworking person, taking the next step is always the target.
Sadly, taking on the next target without properly concluding the present one would only lead to a bag full of disappointment.
So this is what makes the phrase so powerful. The phrase doesn't allow you to rest. Neither does it allow you move forward, at your own pace.
This phrase becomes very important when dealing with real life situations. When confronted by such situations you just have to wait.
When it gets to that point where you can only make one step at a time, I'm sorry to break it to you that that is all you can do. You can neither do more, or do less. You would have to just wait and watch. And be ready to do again and again. Its like a challenge in a challenge.
The challenge moves past going on to the next step, and hangs around you having to realize that there is something else for you to do, other than that which you think is.
You really wouldn't understand this thread if it isn't meant for you. But if it is, I'm sure you get it now.
So if you're at such a stage, please take a moment and review what your plan is and see what the new plan is. The new plan should be your target and it is going to be just as challenging as it can be. May be a little more than you even think.
And never underrate this new challenge. It will be tougher in all honesty, but do you know what a man who bests tough situations feel like? Yeah. Find out and keep Kinging.
