214,535. My father added to that number last night.
He served this county for 34 years and was still going to serve for two more years.
He was a fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force, spirit he exhibited till the very last day and moment.
I’m whatever I’m today because of him
I want him to be remembered. Not to be forgotten. For he is the face of this tragedy.
He had fought Leukemia bravely but succumbed to COVID.
I want people to know that death is not just a number.
Most people like to think of their father as superhero. He actually was one. Flying Mig 21. Fighting for this country.
And he just wasn’t an Air Force officer . He did LLB too and was a lawyer too.
He wanted to join Politics to serve this nation post retirement .
And he was charming and funny and hilarious. The coolest dad. I could share everything with him. He even made my love story work.
He got my ring ceremony done convincing my parents in law who were initially against the match.
He was the best dad. I miss you papa.I love you papa. Please come back. I want everyone to know, what a person you were. We all are very blessed to have experienced you for these past 55 years.
Please amplify this tweet if possible. It’s just a way to show that death is not just a number.
And this death was way more than anything.
A country lost its warrior and a COVID warrior lost his father. I want him to be remembered to be known.
