Why & How understanding Human Emotions is the key to everything?

(1/16)
The BACKGROUND?

We all have heard this statement,
"Humans either operate Emotionally or Logically"

However, being human mean having emotions.

You can take the logic out of a human but not Emotions.

Let& #39;s understand "why" with Reality Loop :)

(2/16)
— Everything Starts With A THOUGHT!

A Though, is the basic unit of operation of our Brain.
Our brain think thoughts.

Everything starts with a "Thought"

(3/16)
— Then comes the associated FEELINGS

Feelings are the flow of thoughts. When thoughts flow through our brain, we feel.

These feelings (happy, sad, fear, anger, etc) depends on the nature of the Thought.

Feelings associated with "wanting something" are called Desires.

(4/16)
— The role of INTELLIGENCE

"Feelings are Fleeting"

We generally plan to operate in two ways

1. On feeling GOOD, we plan to do something that helps to manifest (achieve) that initial thought
2. If it& #39;s BAD, we plan to avoid it

Here intellect and wit, plays a major role

(5/16)
— Time to WORK

As well all know, Ideas and plans don& #39;t worth much until unless executed.

The next step is "Putting in Efforts" towards Achieving or Avoiding something.

(6/16)
REALITY —> But were the Efforts Worth-it?

This REALITY is nothing but the Actual thing/scenario in front of you which you thought of doing depending upon the initial thoughts and the feelings associated with that thought.

(7/16)
Now if this Reality is inline with what you initially thought, your feelings will get "Amplified".

And if the reality is not inline with what you thought, your initial feelings with get "Repressed".

This resulting state is called your "Emotional State"

(8/16)
This resulting Emotional State conditions your mind to think thoughts inline to that particular emotion.

Eg. If you are feeling happy because something good happened, you are much more likely to think of happy thoughts.

Same goes for sadness & sad thoughts.

(9/16)
— REALITY LOOP of Operation

This is how we basically operate.
Higher the iterations, stronger the Emotional State.

Stronger the emotional state, the more we think along the lines of that particular emotion.

(10/16)
Few things to note:

1. This is from "Single thought" perspective (for ease of explanation) our brain thinks a lot of thoughts in fractions of a second. Basics remain same

2. Not all thoughts are actionable. We ignore action on most of them right after we think and feel

(10/16)
— FACTORS Affecting "The Reality Loop"

Based on the above details, your emotional state basically depends on,

What you "Desired" based on thoughts & feelings?
VS
What you actually got based on plan & action?

Well, they were right, "Execution is the key" :)

(11/16)
— TAKING CHARGE over the Default Operation

Instead of getting ourselves be on default loop ie.

1. Letting our Emotion resultant be based on the "Plan vs Actual"
2. Letting this loop of reality run on it& #39;s own

We need to get CONSCIOUS about what we are thinking.

(12/16)
Where "Conscious questioning" is trying to understand the answers to,

1. What does this "Reality" based on "Plan" vs "Actual" means?
2. What is it making me think of?
3. How will I feel after thinking about it? — "Emotional State"
4. What will be my next thoughts?

(13/16)
Sounds simple, Right?

THE CATCH!

Only GAP in our Current Understanding that acts as a ROADBLOCK when it comes to Operating consciously is,

We don& #39;t Understand Emotions. But these are IMPORTANT.

Because, at the end of the day, what matters is "How you feel?"

(14/16)
Hence,

Understanding Human Emotions is the Key to everything

The way to understand them is by defining each one of these in such a way that no other appears in the definition.

There are around 35 of these. Let me know if you need the list and wanna try (DMs are open)
