Rodgers is a great manager in my opinion, but with all due respect he’s not a £70M manager, nor is he the kind of manager we should be begging to get. At least not based on what he’d add to us...

Here’s my theory: Levy is far more concerned about what Leicester would lose if they lost Rodgers; It would certainly disrupt their project and could even put the whole thing in jeopardy.

Now why would he be desperate for Leicester to fail? Because they’re the biggest threat to Tottenham’s position in the big 6... They have more recent success than us having won the PL in 2016, have a better team than us, and look in a better position to compete in coming seasons.

Levy knows that if people decide to stop considering us part of that elite bracket of English clubs we will lose media interest, which we will suffer hugely from commercially. The man will do anything to protect his revenue streams...
