I very much understand SPF fatigue, but it’s not a money grab. SPF is considered a drug by the FDA because it prevents cancer which is why the “rules” seem so OD.

•Wear SPF inside is going to come down to a few things: Is hyperpigmentation a main concern? Does your home receive direct sunlight? Are you using actives that cause photo sensitivity?

Now reapplication: Because SPF must create a film on the skin, it can easily run off, which is why reapplication is important. After 2-3 hours, you’re not getting whatever # protection is on your bottle.

People Fitzpatrick scale 1-3 are at risk of death if they don’t wear SPF.
Fitz 4-6 does not have that same risk. Skin cancer on black people has not been linked to UV exposure. And black skin cancer deaths are related to under diagnosis & missing warning signs. 4/
