Good morning! It’s 8:10 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum for the Maricopa County election audit. I’ll be here until 1 p.m. #azauditpool
So far only the red team of ballot counters have begun. Some blue team ballot counters are present but don’t appear to have begun counting. Same with green and yellow. #azauditpool
Former state lawmaker Anthony Kern, whom my colleague @utilityreporter spotted here yesterday (and was then abruptly asked to leave his shift early), is here again today. #azauditpool
More ballot reviewers are trickling in, as are volunteer observers dressed in orange. I’ve counted 12 tables that have begun reviewing ballots now. #azauditpool
Two observers in pink shirts are from @SecretaryHobbs’ office. #azauditpool
I've now counted 18 tables reviewing ballots. Many tables empty. #azauditpool
There are 14 volunteer observers today walking between different tables monitoring. #azauditpool
A police officer from Gila River and Arizona Department of Public Safety are now inside the Veterans Memorial Coliseum. #azauditpool
Cyber Ninjas employee has been walking around photographing or videoing ballots, reviewers, and at one point, it appeared he was focusing on myself and colleagues in the press box. #azauditpool
Senate liason Ken Bennett said Gila River and DPS officer were on floor to monitor box Bennett was transporting to separate fenced/locked off area. Box could potentially contain confidential voter information, hence it being separated out and locked. #azauditpool
The separated boxes locked behind fences contain provisional ballots, large-print ballots, potentially damaged ballots. Bennett said extra precaution being taken incase voters info (like an envelope with an address) are inside, etc. #azauditpool
